Walk for an Aussie Kid
or
(WOZZA DAY)
as we call it in the land down under -
Australia.
Sunday 3rd September 2006
is Fathers? Day but, more importantly, it is WOZZA DAY 2006, and the
Lions of Queensland would
like you to be involved.
Did you know that:

Australian Lions
Clubs help to provide mobility aids (called walkers), to children who are unable
to walk without support. This gives them the chance to walk and so experience
the joys of childhood that others take for granted.
·
WOZZA DAY
is the national launch of the Walk for an Aussie Kid fund-raising
Activities on the day for the
enjoyment of participants and guests:
·
free entertainment
and activities for children, with or without walkers, and their families,
·
fund raising
walkathon as part of the celebrations,
·
provide a picnic in
the park for all participants.
The walkathon will be held:
·
on Sunday 3rd
September 2006
·
at C.A. O?Sullivan
Park, behind Acacia Ridge Leisure Centre, Beaudesert Rd, Acacia Ridge.

The Walkathon
commences at 11:00 am
·
Entertainment and
activities commence at 9:30am,
Please be part of this event by
entering in the Walkathon. It is a great opportunity to be actively involved in
supporting a charity which assists children and for you to encourage your fellow
students, family and friends to enjoy a day in the park.
You can register individually, or
as a family or group. Entry fees are $5 per person or money collected by
arranging sponsorship for the laps completed.
